CREATIVE DIRECTION
Our friends at Duck Camp were moving! Trading their small house on Cesar Chavez for a new flagship store and corporate office just around the corner from the YETI flagship on South Congress in Austin, TX.
We scoured antique malls and drove across Texas to find the right pieces and special objects with history that could help shape the space.
Along the way, we wrapped the railings in burlap rope, built out a seating area to hang, and layered in details that make the store feel lived-in and intentional.
One of the most meaningful elements: the owner’s grandfather Ray’s original hunting and fishing outfit. It lived in the old shop, but we gave it a new presence here, framed and preserved in an archival case right by the front door, honoring the roots of the brand.
A Texas cedar-framed logo banner anchors the cash wrap, with hand-painted artwork placed throughout the store to bring everything together.
