CREATIVE DIRECTION
HIV is not a crime. Yet in more than 30 states, people are still being imprisoned because of their HIV status—despite science proving that with proper medication, transmission risk is nearly zero. For this campaign, we channeled our love of bold ’80s design and our commitment to the HIV-affected community to spotlight outdated laws in Indiana, Maryland, and Pennsylvania. From strategy and art direction to design, media buying, and placements—we did it all. We even took it to the streets, securing highway billboards seen daily by lawmakers on their commutes to the Capitol.
Have you heard about our Stuck in the 80s campaign? Back in the 80s, the stigma surrounding HIV led to unjust criminalization practices that persist today. While strides in HIV/AIDS treatment have transformed lives, it's time for our legal landscape to catch up.
